Thursday, October 24 Jared picked me up from my house at 7am and we went to the Brigham City Walmart. I had been given $100 by my boss and he told me to buy a ton of snacks and treats to give to Katie and the girls that she was living with. He did this because I had told him that the girls were basically starving. Their program wasn’t feeding them much and a few of the girls were running low on money. He’s very generous! So we bought a bunch of granola bars, fruit snacks, trail mix, and Gold Fish to take with us. We also bought Katie a bunch of Diet Coke ha she had been craving it. We were able to fit everything in the extra suitcases we brought and then we were on the road again. We had to stop in Centerville to meet with a mom of one of the girls and grab a care package for her daughter. Finally we made it to the airport and parked and took the shuttle to the terminal. Thursday, August 22 We left Logan after work and drove straight to the Sheraton without eating. I didn’t eat all day because I had a lot to do before we left so I was starving. When we got to the Sheraton, Tyler was there with his car already and we all hopped in our car and Brett took us to the airport. Once we got to the airport and checked our bags, we went through security and then went to the Sky Club. The food was real food it was just finger food but that was all we had time for unfortunately. Plus we’re cheap ha once we ate something real quick, we went to our gate. Jeff and I got upgraded to first class for the flight and that was great! It was a super quick flight. Once we landed we met Steve at baggage claim so we could ride home with him. He conveniently landed around the same time as us so we were able to catch a ride with him and not Uber! Caribbean Cruise Thursday, December 20 We left Logan around 2pm and drove to the Sheraton in Salt Lake City. Brett said we could leave our car there and take the hotel’s airport shuttle. We will definitely be doing that for every trip from now on! It was so quick and easy! All you have to do is tip the driver but that’s way cheaper than leaving our car at the airport. So we took the shuttle to the airport and got through security. We had time to go into the Sky Club and get some food and then we boarded. Once we got to Fort Lauderdale, we grabbed our bags and scheduled an Uber to come. I was so dumb because the hotel we were staying at had an airport shuttle and I totally spaced that so we paid for an Uber when we didn’t even have to. So annoying. Japan Thursday, September 12, 2018-Friday We had driven down to Lehi late last night after taking forty years to pack and we ended up only getting about three hours of sleep before my dad picked us up at 5am to take us to the airport. We decided to carry our backpacks on because our flight to LAX was separate from our flight to Tokyo and we thought we would run out of time on the layover. We stopped by the Sky Club after security to get some breakfast and then we boarded our flight. I passed out immediately. Once we landed we made our way to our terminal and we tried to find a Sky Club but to no avail. So we found some nice seats by this giant screen that played really mesmerizing videos haha everyone was taking pictures and videos of it. While people watching, we actually saw Angela Kinsey from The Office! I took a creeper photo of her but by the time Jeff worked up the courage to go take a picture with her, she disappeared.
